Recess meeting of the City Council called to order by President J.I.wil.son in the chair: Meiberh present J.I.Wileon, T.N.9sutier, T.E.Cheetham, J.E.Lummue, J.B.Reilly, and L.Granger. Moved by J.B.Reilly end seconded by J.E.Lummue that the Committeeman on Streets and ,Sewers be authorized to mike divposition of the old cross -ties which were taken up .from Twelth Street between Avenue "G" and the Miami River: Motion carried. Communication: Mr. A.H. Adams , City. Miami, Fla., June, 9th, 1909. Dear Sir; - In looking over the list of properties bean;': advertised for non-payment of tree State and County taxes, I note the following described prope.•tiee belonging to the City of Miami are included in the advertised liet: Lots 17 end 1M of Block 44 North, Lots 13, 14 and 15 of Block 123 North. It was tre duty of the City of Miami to pay all taxes and aseessmonte lawfully asessed against these propertiev. In the case of the lots in Block 44, this war a sale mere to the Drake Produce Company; and the purchase from said Company by the City. The matter of taxes rests between the City end Vie Drake Produoe Company, but in no event wee tne Fort Dallas Land Company responsible.
