HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-24-0046 Notice to the Public71• 1,77 6 Omni C R A OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Board of Commissioners ("Board") of the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. or anytime thereafter in the City Commission chambers located at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. The Board will consider the award of grant funds for the Kush Property LLC, as authorized to transact business/render services in the State of Florida for stated property, to underwrite a portion of the costs associated with the development of an affordable housing project in the Omni CRA. In accordance with the Board's 2019 Redevelopment Plan ("Plan") and Florida Statutes 163, the Board will consider funding an amount of $3,100,000.00 to underwrite the expenditures and costs associated with the rehabilitation of a mixed -used apartment building consisting of 11 micro -unit studios and commercial space located within the Redevelopment Area of the Omni CRA at 2003 N. Miami Ave., Miami, Florida within CRA's boundaries. This funding is critical in the rehabilitation of the property, which is envisioned to reduce slum and blight and provide much -needed affordable housing in the area. The CRA Board requests all interested parties be present or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the CRA Board, in which the Board may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
