HomeMy WebLinkAbout6724 Notice to the PublicOmni CRA OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Board of Commissioners ("Board") of the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday October 30th, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. or thereafter at the Dorsey Memorial Library located at 100 NW 17th St, Miami, Florida 33136, to consider the award of grant funds to CASA MIA Apartments LLC, a legal entity authorized to transact business/render services in the State of Florida, for the rehabilitation of affordable housing units located within the Omni district. In accordance with the Board's 2010 Redevelopment Plan ("Plan") and Florida Statute 163, the Board will consider the funding, in an amount not to exceed $696,000.00, to underwrite the expenditures and costs associated with the rehabilitation of the property located at 1815 NW 1st Court, Miami, Florida, critical in the rehabilitation units of affordable housing, within the CRA, envisioned to reduce slum and blight. This action is being considered pursuant to Sections 18-85 (a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida as amended ("Code"). The recommendation and findings to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed resolution and in Code Sections 18-85 (a), which are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein, and are available as with the scheduled CRA Board meeting of Wednesday October 30th, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. or thereafter at the Dorsey Memorial Library located at 100 NW 17th St, Miami, Florida 33136. The CRA Board requests all interested parties be present or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the CRA Board, in which the Board may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
