Special Commission Meeting
Pursuant to Section 2-33(1) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, I am
calling for a Special City Commission Meeting on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00
A.M. at Miami City Hall.
The purpose of the special meeting will be to consider and take any and all actions related
to filling the vacancy in the District 4 City Commission seat by appointment or, if
necessary, by special election in accordance with section 12 of the Charter of the City of
Miami, Florida, as amended. No business shall be conducted, or a vote taken at a
special City Commission meeting on business other than the subject(s) for which the
special meeting is called unless the City Commission by a majority vote deems such
resolution or ordinance to be of an emergency nature and such resolution or ordinance
has been reviewed by the Office of Management and Budget for any fiscal impact.
I respectfully request that your office provide the required notice to the members of the
City Commission, City Manager, City Attorney, and the public.
