A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DE -ALLOCATING FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS
($200,000.00) ("FUNDS") PREVIOUSLY ALLOCATED ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2024,
PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. R-24-0389 TO COVER COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE TASTE OF LITTLE HAVANA FOOD AND ART FESTIVAL;
REALLOCATING THE FUNDS TO COVER VARIOUS CITY OF MIAMI SPONSORED
EVENTS AND EXHIBITS AT THE CUBAN MUSEUM, INC, D/B/A THE AMERICAN
MUSEUM OF THE CUBAN DIASPORA, A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT
CORPORATION.
Background of Item:
On September 26, 2024, the Miami City Commission adopted Resolution No. R-24-
0389 wherein it allocated Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00)
("Funds") to cover costs associated with the Taste of Little Havana Food and Art
Festival ("Festival").
There is now a desire to reallocate the Funds to cover the costs associated with various
City of Miami ("City") sponsored events and exhibits at the Cuban Museum, Inc, d/b/a
the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora, a Florida not for profit corporation.

PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. R-24-0389 TO COVER COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE TASTE OF LITTLE HAVANA FOOD AND ART FESTIVAL;
REALLOCATING THE FUNDS TO COVER VARIOUS CITY OF MIAMI SPONSORED
EVENTS AND EXHIBITS AT THE CUBAN MUSEUM, INC, D/B/A THE AMERICAN
MUSEUM OF THE CUBAN DIASPORA, A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT
CORPORATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY, INCLUDING ANY
AGREEMENTS, MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, MODIFICATIONS,
EXTENSIONS, AND AMENDMENTS, ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, on September 26, 2024, the Miami City Commission adopted Resolution
No. R-24-0389 wherein it allocated Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00)
("Funds") to cover costs associated with the Taste of Little Havana Food and Art Festival
("Festival"); and
WHEREAS, there is a desire to reallocate the Funds to cover the costs associated with
various City of Miami ("City") sponsored events and exhibits at the Cuban Museum, Inc, d/b/a
the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora, a Florida not for profit corporation ("Museum");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Funds previously allocated to the Festival pursuant to Resolution No. R-
24-0389 are hereby de -allocated.
Section 3. The Funds previously allocated to the Festival are hereby reallocated to the
Museum to cover costs associated with various City sponsored events and exhibits at the
Museum.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
documents necessary, including any agreements, memorandum of understanding,
modifications, extensions, and amendments, all in forms acceptable to the City Attorney, for
said purpose.
1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by
the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
