OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, CLASSIFYING TWO (2) FORD E 350, MODEL
YEAR 2013, EQUIPMENT NUMBERS 213133 AND 213132, VEHICLE
IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS 1 FBSS3BL9DDA38793 AND 1 FBSS3BLODDA38794 AS
MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED ("VANS"), AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DONATE SAID VANS TO GREATER MIAMI AND SOUTH
FLORIDA, YOUTH AND COMMUNITY INC., A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT
CORPORATION; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL AGREEMENTS NECESSARY, ALL IN FORMS

INCORPORATED ("VANS"), AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DONATE SAID VANS TO GREATER MIAMI AND SOUTH
FLORIDA, YOUTH AND COMMUNITY INC., A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT
CORPORATION; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL AGREEMENTS NECESSARY, ALL IN FORMS
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO EFFECTUATE SAID DONATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's ("City") General Services Administration has
decommissioned two (2) Ford E 350, Model Year 2013, Equipment Numbers 213133 and
213132, Vehicle Identification Numbers 1 FBSS3BL9DDA38793 and 1 FBSS3BL0DDA38794, as
more particularly described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated ("Vans"); and
WHEREAS, the City's Chief Procurement Officer has declared the Vans as category "A"
surplus; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended ("City Code"), a surplus declared as Category "A" stock shall be available for
disposition as the City's contribution or the City's commitment in support of a particular public
purpose, which may include community, civic, or social service programs as may be authorized
by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Greater Miami and South Florida, Youth and Community Inc.
("GMSFYC") provides a safe, healthy and positive environment to the youth and community of
Greater Miami and South Florida, through educational activities, the arts and athletics.
WHEREAS, the GMSFYC mission allows the youth and community to develop
academically, socially, mentally, and physically, under the supervision of caring volunteers; and
WHEREAS, the donation of said Vans will greatly assist GMSFYC in its mission by
providing much needed transportation for participating youth to and from educational, artistic, or
athletic events;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the City Code, the Vans are classified as
Category "A" surplus stock.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to donate the Vans to the GMSFYC.
Section 4. The City Manager is further authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
agreements necessary, all in forms acceptable to the City Attorney, to effectuate said donation.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
