HomeMy WebLinkAboutBusiness Impact StatementPlanning Department Business Impact Statement Short.it1 Purpose: Currently, the Miami 21 Code provides that Fences and walls may be located up to and including the Frontage Line in T3, but limits the height of Fences and walls to four (4) feet within the First Layer, except aluminum or iron picket and post Fences with or without masonry posts shall not exceed six (6) feet; and within the Second and Third Layers, fences and walls shall not exceed eight (8) feet. This Miami 21 Code amendment allows six foot (6') tall solid wooden Fences along the Frontage Line of properties in the T3 Transect Zone. The amendment would allow City of Miami residents an opportunity for additional privacy of their home. Estimated Direct Economic Impact: • There are no direct compliance costs that business may reasonably incur if the ordinance is enacted. The amendment applies to single-family homes and duplexes only, as T3 does not typically allow commercial uses, and simply provides an additional option for height and location of a fence. • There will be no new charges or fees on businesses subject to the proposed ordinance.
