Hannon City Clerk Date: December 1, 2024 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: Agenda for December 12, 2024 Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Four (4) appointments are required at this time: • Commissioner Damian Pardo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently:1 1. Vacant. (Christi Tasker resigned effective September 5, 2024) • Commissioner Joe Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by:2 1. Yvonne Bayona, incumbent, whose term expired on September 13, 2024. • Commission -At -Large has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Martin Zilber, alternate at -large incumbent, whose term expired on September 15, 3, 4 2023 2. Vacant, Alternate At -Large. (Nilda Irene Cue resigned effective February 14, 2024)5 1 This item was continued from October 15, 2024, and November 21, 2024, Commission meetings. 2 This item was continued from September 12, 2024, October 15, 2024, and November 21, 2024, Commission meetings. 3 Per Code Section 2-885(b), "When the nominating commissioner leaves office the board member's term shall expire." This item was continued from December 14, 2023, January 11, 2024, February 8, 2024, March 14, 2024, April 11, 2024, May 9, 2024, June 18, 2024, July 11, 2024, September 12, 2024, October 15, 2024, and November 21, 2024, Commission meetings. 5 This item was continued from March 14, 2024, April 11, 2024, May 9, 2024, June 18, 2024, July 11, 2024, September 12, 2024, October 15, 2024, and November 21, 2024, Commission meetings. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board.
