A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING THE UPDATED PLANNING AND ZONING SCHEDULE OF FEES,
PURSUANT TO SECTION 62-22 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, ("CITY CODE") TITLED "SCHEDULE OF FEES," AS
DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED EXHIBIT "A";
CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 14337, adopted on December 12, 2024, Chapter
62 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), was amended to provide
that fees shall be set by the City Commission, by Resolution, which may be amended from time
to time; and
WHEREAS, a certified copy of the Resolution setting forth current permit fees shall be
on file with the City Clerk, the Director of Planning, and the Director of Zoning; and
WHEREAS, an updated fee schedule shall be maintained electronically and can be
accessed at the City's website; and
WHEREAS, the updated fee schedule allows the City Commission to implement fiscally
sound and best practices that are consistent with City regulations and changing market
demands; and
WHEREAS, the fee schedule was updated to reflect current cost of mailing and to
include other minor clarifications; and
WHEREAS, these fees are charged in exchange for a particular governmental service;
the services benefit the party paying the fee in a manner not shared by other members of
society; and the fees are paid by choice, in that the party paying the fee has the option of not
utilizing the governmental service and thereby avoiding the charge; and
WHEREAS, the only updated fees in the attached and incorporated Exhibit "A" are those
that are stricken through or underlined; Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted
and underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in
effect and remain unchanged; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department recommends approval of the updated Fee
Schedule, as described in the attached and incorporated Exhibit "A," in order to ensure such
fees are consistent with current development review processes, appropriately priced, and
commensurate to the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board ("PZAB"), at its meeting on
October 16, 2024, following an advertised public hearing, adopted Resolution No. PZAB-R-24-

069 by a vote of ten to zero (10-0), Item No. PZAB.9, recommending approval of the fee
schedule; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the updated Fee Schedule is fair
and reasonable; commensurate to the services provided; and essential for the continued
provision of high -quality services focusing on the public's health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby adopts, in lieu of the fee schedule in Chapter
62, a new fee schedule via Resolution, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "A."1
Section 3. If any section, part of a section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this
Resolution is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Resolution shall not be affected.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective ten (10) days upon adoption by the
City Commission.2

2 This Resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten (10)
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date stated
herein, whichever is later.
