Founded in the City of Miami in 2012, Freebee provides first and last mile connectivity to move residents and guests within the city without having to have a personal vehicle and now operates in over 40 cities in Florida. Beyond being a transit solution, it is also a very powerful economic development tool, driving traffic to local business, through free advertising offered on our mobile platform. Freebee helps take cars off the road, reduce traffic and carbon emissions and helps free up limited parking availability. Project/ Program Description: The Freebee Electric Micro Transit Service aims to introduce a safe, sustainable, efficient, and free transportation option to the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. This project is designed to enhance local mobility, support environmental goals, and boost economic activity within the community by providing electric micro transit services that connect residents, visitors, and businesses. Impact and Performance Expected Outcomes Improved Mobility: Increased Accessibility: Freebee shuttles can provide residents and visitors with more convenient transportation options, making it easier to access local amenities, services, and public transportation hubs. Reduced Traffic Congestion: By offering a free alternative to personal vehicles, Freebee can help reduce the number of cars on the road, potentially alleviating traffic congestion in the area. Environmental Benefits: Lower Emissions: The use of electric shuttles contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, supporting Miami's sustainability goals. Enhanced Urban Sustainability: Freebee's focus on eco-friendly transportation aligns with broader efforts to make urban environments more sustainable. Economic Impact: Local Business Support: By providing transportation options that connect people to local businesses, Freebee can help drive foot traffic and support the local economy. Job Creation: The operation of the shuttle service can create job opportunities for drivers, maintenance staff, and other roles within the organization. Community Engagement: Enhanced Quality of Life: Improved transportation options can contribute to a higher quality of life by making it easier for residents to get around and participate in community activities. Increased Inclusivity: Freebee's services can make transportation more accessible to underserved populations, including those who may not have access to a personal vehicle.
