PROPOSED BENEFITS
Salary
$354,000 annual salary (bi-weekly)
Effective 04-25-24
The agreed upon salary - with 5% annual increases every October 1
- shall remain in effect unless changed by the City Commission.
Pension
City Attorney shall continue to be enrolled in the GESE pension
program.
Car Allowance
$800 per month
Wireless Device/Tablet Allowance
$300 per month

In the event that a disability plan is offered to the other City
executives, the City Attorney shall have the right to receive a similar
benefit.

All days shall be accrued at the rate of an Executive with equivalent
years of service. (EC-44). Carryover shall be a maximum of 700
hours per year as set forth in City Administrative Policies.

12 paid holidays per year.
Upon separation, the City Attorney will receive payment of all
unused vacation and sick leave in accordance with City
Administrative Policies.
Severance
The City Commission reserves its right to terminate its relationship
with the City Attorney by an official act of the Commission, without
cause shown, prior to the expiration of the Term, in which event the
City Attorney shall receive a fixed sum for compensation and
forbearance, in an amount equivalent to five (5) month's salary and
benefits.
The City Attorney shall receive a fixed sum in an amount equivalent
to five (5) month's salary and benefits for services rendered if he is
not re-elected to the position of City Attorney at the expiration of
his Term of office, or upon separation from the City.
The City Attorney shall not receive any severance if he is terminated
for neglect of duty, misfeasance, or malfeasance.
Deferred Compensation
Employer contributes maximum amount allowed by law, plus the
maximum amount allowed for catch-up contributions.
COLA
Same as granted to the classified or unclassified service, whichever
is higher.
Florida Bar Dues
City shall pay for all present Florida Bar Dues and three (3)
voluntary bar dues.
