A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO REQUEST AN OPINION FROM THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
COMMISSION ON ETHICS AND PUBLIC TRUST REGARDING WHETHER A
CONFLICT OF INTEREST EXISTS RELATED TO THE REPRESENTATION OF
KUENHE DAVIS LAW AND BENEDICT P. KUEHNE AND THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission considered File ID 15625 at its March 14, 2024 City
Commission meeting with the title:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PROHIBITING ANY
FUTURE PAYMENT OF ANY ATTORNEY FEES OR COMPENSATION TO THE
LAW FIRM OF KUEHNE DAVIS LAW, PA AND BENEDICT P. KUEHNE FOR
LEGAL SERVICES RENDERED IN ANY MATTERS INVOLVING THE CITY OR
CITY OFFICIALS.
(hereinafter, "File ID 15625"); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deferred File ID 15625 to it April 11, 2024
Regular City Commission meeting to, among other things, have the City Attorney seek
an ethics opinion from the Miami -Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust
on whether a conflict of interest exists as it relates to the representation of the Law Firm
of Kuehne Davis Law, PA and/or Benedict P. Kuehne and/or the City of Miami ("City")
and its officers, officials, and employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Attorney is hereby directed to request an opinion from the Miami -
Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust regarding whether a conflict of interest
exists as it relates to the representation of Kuenhe Davis Law and Benedict P. Keuhne and the
City and/or the City and its officers, officials, and employees.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
