NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ANY PERSON WHO RECEIVES COMPENSATION, REMUNERATION OR
EXPENSES FOR CONDUCTING LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS REQUIRED TO
REGISTER AS A LOBBYIST WITH THE CITY CLERK PRIOR TO ENGAGING IN
LOBBYING ACTIVITIES BEFORE CITY STAFF, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES OR
THE CITY COMMISSION. A COPY OF THE APPLICABLE ORDINANCE IS
AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK (MIAMI CITY HALL), LOCATED
AT 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, 33133
AT THE SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2023, AT 9:00
A.M., IN ITS CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, THE
MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEM
RELATED TO THE REGULAR AGENDA:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS,
AFTER A PUBLIC HEARING, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION(S) NECESSARY TO EXPEDITIOUSLY
REQUEST THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AND PUBLIC WORKS ("DTPW') CONSIDER THE PROPOSED TRAFFIC FLOW
MODIFICATIONS AND WAIVE THE REQUIRED RESIDENT CONCURRENCE AND
EXEMPT THE BALLOTING PROCESS IN ORDER TO EXPEDITIOUSLY PROCEED
WITH THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC CALMING DEVICES AT
FOURTEEN (14) LOCATIONS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN IN
THE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS OF COCONUT GROVE AND
MORNINGSIDE IN DISTRICT 2; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO SEND A
CERTIFIED COPY OF THE THIS RESOLUTION TO THE DTPW DIRECTOR.
Copies of the proposed Resolution are available for review at the Resilience and
Public Works Department, Survey Section of the Administration Division, located
at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 7th Floor, during regular working hours. Phone 305-416-

The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented
at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City
Commission in which the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be
considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may
be based (F.S. 286.0105).
Pursuant to Miami City Code Section 2-33(o), whenever a scheduled City Commission
meeting is cancelled or is not held due to a lack of a quorum or other emergency, a
special City Commission meeting will be automatically scheduled for the Tuesday
immediately following the cancelled meeting. In the event of one of the
aforementioned circumstances, the special meeting would be held on November 21,
2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Commission chambers located at Miami City Hall, 3500
Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133. All of the scheduled agenda items from that
cancelled meeting shall automatically be scheduled as an agenda item at the special
City Commission meeting.
The City Clerk shall notify the public of the special meeting that is to take place by
placing a notice of the special City Commission meeting at the entrance of City Hall
and the City's main administrative building, placing a notice on the City's website, and,
if feasible, placing an ad in a newspaper of general circulation before the special
meeting on the immediately following Tuesday. There shall be no additional notice by
publication required for any such scheduled agenda item that is moved to the special
City Commission meeting.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing
special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of
