ENCLOSURES: AI PP Board Applications
On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the City Clerk published in various newspapers, a Notice of Vacancies
requesting volunteers to serve on the Art in Public Places Board.
The Art in Public Places Board (AIPPB) is composed of nine (9) voting members and two (2) alternate
members appointed by the Mayor and City Commission. It is intended that members and alternate
members of the AIPPB be -persons of knowledge, experience, mature judgment, ant background;
having ability and desire to act in the public interest; and representing the various special professional
training, experience, and interests required to make informed and equitable decisions concerning the
artistic development of the city.
There are currently three (3) vacancies on the AIPP Board. The Planning Department has reviewed all
two (2) applications submitted by the Friday, July 28, 2023, deadline in accordance with Section 62-
655 of the Miami City Code. Of the two applications received, staff finds that all meet the minimum
qualifications per code, staff recommends the following:
• Appoint Catherine Cathers to District 2, Vacant Seat.
• Appoint Olga Granda to District 3, Vacant Seat.
