No. 1 In 2013 total annual assessment to contributed to School, City and County, via annual taxes totaled $741,606, in 2022 the total is $21,663,756. $3.5 million The Wynwood BID has donated 3.5 million dollars toward affordable housing, totaling 120 units. 5,000+ Over 5,500 micro units built since 2013 to assist with the youth and young professional housing crisis. The Wynwood BID was established in July 2013 to stabilize and improve retail and other business in the areas, through promotion, security and cleaning management, marketing, including but not limited to, coordination, funding, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure and streetscape improvements, and other projects. Since our creation of the BID, via our City of Miami partners, we have since cemented Wynwood, as Miami's cultural and innovative hub. National Recognized Awards 2015 2015 • 2017 • 2021 * Traveler's Choice Award winner Named one of America's Greatest Places National Planning Achievement Award 2017 - APA National Planning Council Trip Advisor Best Hip Destinations in America Wynwood BID Enacted - July 25, 20L3 2013-2023 Accomplishments: Donation of 1/5th of all City of Miami cameras in operation since 2018. Creation of WDRC Committee and increase in signature murals from 37 in 2013 to 249 in 2023. Creation of the City of Miami's first Neighborhood Revitalization District Creation of Wynwood dedicated Police substation, which was previously shared with Edgewater The passage of the Wynwood Streetscape Master Plan Creation of clean team, and daily trash and debris removal services 365 days a year. BID intervenes and assists State with ZIKA to ensure survival of District. Wynwood NRD passes BID assist District during Covid and becomes the neighborhood that recovered the fastest within the City of Miami.
