To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my urgent concern regarding the mortgage application of Steven Martinez for
640 NE 65th ST Miami FL 33150. As the lender for this mortgage, I would like to bring to your attention
the urgent need to close this mortgage application as soon as possible to prevent the borrower from
being disqualified due to recent rate increases
Steven Martinez has been approved for a mortgage rate, which was based on the rate at the time of
their application in November 2022. Unfortunately, recent market conditions have caused a rapid
increase in rates, which has disqualified many borrowers from obtaining the necessary financing to
purchase a property.
The urgency of this matter is compounded by the fact that the borrower is currently displaced, having
been forced to move out of their apartment. They urgently need to secure this mortgage to avoid
further displacement and prevent additional expenses.
As the lender, I strongly believe that the borrower is qualified for the loan and is capable of fulfilling all
obligations. However, time is of the essence, and I fear that the rate increases will negatively impact
their ability to secure the financing they require. After March 15, 2023 the existing approval will no
longer be valid.
I, therefore, request that the City Commission take urgent action to expedite the processing of this
hearing. I assure you that I am willing to provide any additional documentation or information
required to help facilitate this process.
