In my experience with the City of Miami and City of Miami Beach I have had the opportunity to work with the Art in Public Places Boards and my interest has always been to have art which becomes a functional part of the space and that can be maintained by the City. 5. If appointed, what specific goals would you like to see the Public Art Board achieve, and why? How would you suggest accomplishing this? I am very interested in selecting art components which are functional for the community and that are affordable to maintain so that they do not become a burden for the city or the community.
