WHEREAS: Article II, Section 11.5-28 (d)(1) of the City Code requires that the CIP nominating committee be composed of five members of the CIP, with one member representing each of the five city commission districts. WHEREAS: The nominating committee was duly appointed by the Chair and met on July 11, and August 18, 2022. WHEREAS: The nominating committee considered 20 applications and interviewed six candidates. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIVILIAN INESTIGATIVE PANEL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI: Section 1. Recitals. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. Selection of Nominees. The Civilian Investigative Panel by vote conducted on September 20, 2022, hereby nominates the following candidates for the approval of the City Commission: • Ahmir Kenyatta as representative of District 2; • Michelle Reboso Valladares as representative of District 4; and • Vilmary Martinez as representative of the Mayor. Section 3. Authorization of CIP Staff. The Interim Executive Director and/or his designee is authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the purposes of this Resolution. Section 4.
