Enclosed you will find an advertisement for notice of a public hearing to be held by the
City Commission on November 17, 2022 for the purpose of allocate the amount of
$150,500.00 to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc/Meyers Center, Inc., to
provide meals to low and moderate -income families in the community.
Please place the advertisement in accordance with the public hearing requirements of the
City Commission.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 9:00 AM at City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American
Drive, Miami, Florida, 33133 for the purpose of granting the following:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, BY A FOUR -FIFTHS (4/STHS)
AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, AFTER AN ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING,
APPROVING, AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S FINDING THAT
COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION METHODS AND PROCEDURES ARE NOT
PRACTICABLE OR ADVANTAGEOUS, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-85(A) OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED; WAIVING THE
REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID PROCEDURES; AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF
FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,500.00 TO CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE
ARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI, INC/MEYER CENTER, INC., FOR PUBLIC SERVICES
ACTIVITIES; WITH FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM THE SOCIAL SERVICES GAP
PROGRAM FUND, ACCOUNT NO.; 14010.910199.481000 AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL THE AGREEMENT(S), IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCY, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at
the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City
Commission in which the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire
to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be
considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may
be based (F.S. 286.0105).
Pursuant to Miami City Code Section 2-33(o), whenever a scheduled City Commission
meeting is cancelled or is not held due to a lack of a quorum or other emergency, a
special City Commission meeting will be automatically scheduled for the Tuesday
immediately following the cancelled meeting. All of the scheduled agenda items from
that cancelled meeting shall automatically be scheduled as an agenda item at the
special City Commission meeting. The City Clerk shall notify the public of the special
meeting that is to take place by placing a notice of the special City Commission meeting
at the entrance of City Hall and the City's main administrative building, placing a notice
on the City's website, and, if feasible, placing an ad in a newspaper of general
circulation before the special meeting on the immediately following Tuesday. There shall
be no additional notice by publication required for any such scheduled agenda item that
is moved to the special City Commission meeting.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City
Clerk at (305) 250-5361 (Voice) no later than five (5) business days prior to the

3. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the acceptance
of the additional Emergency Rental Assistance 2 ("ERA
2")
funds in the amount of $5,518,130.34 from United States Department of the Treasury and authorizing the allocation of
such funds to provide assistance to eligible household through the existing City's Emergency Rental Assistance
Program.
4. Discuss and proposed resolution by a four -fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, after an advertised public hearing, ratifying,
approving, and confirming the City Manager's finding that competitive negotiation methods and procedures are not
practicable or advantageous, pursuant to section 18-85(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended; waiving
the requirements for said procedures; authorizing the allocation of funds, in the amount of $150,500.00 to Catholic
Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc/Meyers Center, Inc.
* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s),
authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.

than November 15, 2022. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the
