At its November 17, 2022, meeting the City Commission adopted the above -referenced
agenda item, PZ.13, amending Article 4, Table 4 of Ordinance No. 13114, the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, titled "Standards and Tables/Density, Intensity and
Parking," to provide for specific parking relief to properties within the T5-L and T5-O and CI
Transect Zones for certain uses when the uses solely serve needs of children and are affiliated
with an abutting approved Rescue Mission. The Legislation was inadvertently adopted with a
with blank information as the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board recommendation. The
legislation has been corrected to include the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board
recommendation and incremented to Version 2.

WHEREAS, the current parking requirements for the uses in connection children's
services do not correlate with the actual utilization of parking that will result from such that abut
an approved Rescue Mission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board ("PZAB"), at its meeting on
November 16, 2022, following an advertised public hearing, adopted resolution no. PZAB-R-22-
063 by a vote of ten to one (10-1), item no. PZAB.9, recommending approval of the zoning text
change; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has considered whether the proposed text amendment
stated herein will further the goals, objectives, and policies of the Miami Comprehensive
Neighborhood Plan ("MCNP"), Ordinance No. 13114, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami,
Florida, as amended ("Miami 21 Code"), and other City of Miami ("City") regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has considered the need and justification for the
proposed amended stated herein, including changed or changing conditions that make the
passage of this ordinance necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City and its
residents to amend the Miami 21 Code for the purpose stated herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Ordinance are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
