RE: One Brickell City Centre Signature Office Project
Dear Chairwoman & Members of the City of Miami Commission:
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Miami Downtown Development
Authority (Miami DDA), I am pleased to offer this letter of support for the
One Brickell City Centre (BCC) Signature Office project. Swire Properties
presented this proposal to the Miami DDA Board on July 15, 2022. BCC
has already established itself as a successful mixed -use, transit -oriented
destination in the heart of Brickell with world class architecture and
amenities. This next phase of BCC will extend that development to Miami's
prime commercial corridor on Brickell Avenue.
The Miami DDA advocates and creates opportunities for economic growth
and improved quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors in our
urban core. Availability of first-rate office spaces are of paramount
importance for the global corporations we are working to attract to the area
and for the growing residential community. The proposed changes to the
previous One BCC project reflect the needs of the signature office tenants
relocating to Miami in this evolving market.
On behalf of the Miami DDA Board, we would therefore like to express our
support for Items PZ.11 and PZ.12 on the July 28, 2022 City Commission
agenda. This legislation will allow for the construction of the One BCC
Signature Office concept which enhances the economic growth of
Downtown Miami and raises our profile as a world -class business
destination.
