WHEREAS, pursuant to a lease with the City of Miami ("City") dated May 8, 2015 ("Lease"), Virginia Key Outdoor Center ("VKOC") operated a certain portion of City -owned property located at 3801 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, Florida, as a recreational support facility; and WHEREAS, the Lease has been terminated; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City for the City Manager to operate the location previously operated by VKOC and procure through emergency procurement procedures a vendor to provide comparable services until an award is made under a forthcoming request for proposals; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is directed to operate the location previously operated by VKOC and procure through emergency procurement procedures a vendor to provide comparable services until an award is made under a forthcoming request for proposals.
