Debris accumulates in this area due to winds, tides, boat traffic and gets washed up on the shore. Through these events volunteers learn about plastic pollution, climate change and our waterways. It is a great opportunity to understand how these stressors adversely affect our daily lives. For many, it is their first contact with primitive areas of coastal habitats.
