Main Goal: Developing programs that provide a lower barrier to entry directly into technology industry for the local community. Outcomes • Teach fundamental Digital Literacy Skills to Little Haiti residents. Where Digital Literacy is defined as a mixture of: o Communication and Collaboration o Content Creation o Independent Research o Software Proficiency (Excel, QuickBooks, Canva, etc.) o Cyber-Safety o Term/Jargon Mastery • Prepare and connect Little Haiti professionals for tech industry positions in: o Customer Support Rep./Help Desk Technician (entry cert.) o Sales Development Representative o Customer Success Associate o Business-Admin/Finance in tech (career transition) o Software Development (third party dev program) Outputs • Participants in program • Participants who complete program • Retention rates of programs • Partners involved in programs • Dollars allocated per specific program • Dollar per participant (services, hardware, software) • Subjective Feedback (NPS) Constraints • The current market is trending down, which will need to be closely observed to avoid preparing participants for positions or companies that cannot sustain them. • Awareness about the viability of these programs to provide real growth positions must be driven by stories but those storytelling costs cannot outweigh operational costs for the participants. • There is an emphasis on creating programs that the Tech Lab itself can continue to do long term with minimal support from external parties.
