MEMORANDUM
TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission
FROM: Victoria Mendez, City Attorney -a- for
DATE: June I5, 2022
RE: June 23, 2022, Commission Meeting Agenda — Substitution of RE.7 and
Pocket Item — Dr. Diego Medina and Eddy Calderon Street Co -designations
File No. 12126
Attached please find for the June 23, 2022, City Commission meeting: 1) a
substitution Resolution for RE.7 in order to reaffirm a street co -designation for Dr. Diego
Medina and update the location and 2) a pocket Resolution rescinding and replacing
Resolution No. R-22-0110 adopted on March 10, 2022, in order to change the street co -
designation location for Eddy Calderon.
On October 10, 2002, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. R-02-1148 to
honor Dr. Diego Medina by co -designating Southwest 2nd Street from Southwest 27th
Avenue to Southwest 31st Court, Miami, Florida as "Calle Dr. Diego Medina".
Inadvertently, the City Commission subsequently adopted Resolution No. R-22-0110 on

2002 street co -designation, and the pocket item changes the location of the Eddy
