WHEREAS, the OMNI Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("OMNI CRA"), at its Board of Commissioners meeting on October 22, 2021, approved the allocation of an amount not to exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) to the City of Miami's ("City") Planning Department to study the T6-24B zoning designation and impact on providing workforce housing units within the OMNI CRA's Area; and WHEREAS, the City deems it beneficial and in the City's best interests to accept the funds from the OMNI CRA to fund the T6-24B zoning designation and it's impact on providing workforce housing study with the CRA's Area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to accept funds from the OMNI CRA in an amount not to exceed two hundred thousand ($200,000.00) for the purpose of studying the implementation and impact of the T6-24B zoning designation and impact on providing workforce housing units on development within the CRA's Area. Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized' to execute the Funding Acceptance and Acknowledgement, in substantially the attached form, for said purpose. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.2 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be imposed, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. 2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:
