A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION RESCINDING IN ITS ENTIRETY
RESOLUTION NO. R-21-0514 ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 9, 2021, THEREBY DE -
ALLOCATING ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE ("API") FUNDS PREVIOUSLY AWARDED
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($150,000.00); REALLOCATING ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($150,000.00) TO THE MAYOR'S SHARE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI'S API FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission previously adopted Resolution No. R-21-0514
on December 9, 2021, which awarded an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand
dollars ($150,000.00) from the Mayor's share of the City of Miami's ("City") Anti -Poverty Initiative
("API") to a Special Revenue Project Fund titled "Emergency Hotel/Motel Placement Program";
and
WHEREAS, the funds previously allocated are no longer needed for the required
purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission wishes to rescind Resolution No. R-21-0514 in
its entirety, de -allocate the awarded funds, and reallocate the funds to the Mayor's share of API
funds for future allocations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Resolution No. R-21-0514 adopted on December 9, 2021, is hereby
rescinded in its entirety.
Section 3. The API funds previously awarded to the Special Revenue Project Fund
"Emergency Hotel/Motel Placement Program" in an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty
thousand dollars ($150,000.00) pursuant to Resolution No. R-21-0514 adopted on December 9,
2021, are hereby de -allocated.
Section 4. API funds in the amount not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($150,000.00) are hereby reallocated to the Mayor's share of the City's API funds for future
allocations.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'
1 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
