I implore the city commissioners to NOT approve the
scooter program as proposed. While micromobility is an
important and needed feature of our beautiful city,
there has been no track record of success for this pilot.
To approve it without continuing the pilot to test the
changes is irresponsible. You have ignored the feedback
from many residents of the city, who have asked for
change related to safety and increased patrols and
enforcement. We see the signs of poor management of
FR. 1 11135 this program every day, on every corner. Accidents

Program an improvement but have not been tested and there is
not a thorough plan for enforcement. Please do not
approve this program. The proposed new regulations
and policies need to be tested appropriately to make
sure that you are indeed doing what's best for the
residents of the city AND you can prove that the city has
the resources and ability to enforce the programs rules.
If you approve this program today you do it a great risk
to the residents and with a big sacrifice of our quality of
life.

I use a wheelchair and I am against scooters because
people always leave them tipped over in the middle of
the sidewalk, completely blocking my path. When
scooters were allowed the sidewalks became unusable
for me and I had to travel in the street next to cars going

Please ELIMINATE these scooters. They are a hazard and
people do not use them responsibility. They clog the
sidewalks, they tip over and block everything, people
speed and almost hit pedestrians, they get tossed in the
bay. I've lived in brickell for 10 years and never felt so
strongly about a topic. Let's support other means of
transportation. Citibikes, trolley, metro mover
Please end this scooter program once and for all. They
have been destroying our quality of life and ruining
walkability in Brickell. They block our handicap ramps,
our sidewalks and never follow any of the most basic
rules. They terrorize our pedestrians especially our
seniors, dog owners and parents with strollers or small
children. As a resident of several years and a new
homeowner these scooters alone have negatively
impacted daily life for years. They do not improve our
city, rules are not enforced or followed. Please vote to
end this program so we can finally walk on our already
small and neglected sidewalks.

Please keep the scooters but change the rules regarding
the scooters. Keeping the speed very low and being
forced to ride on the street puts the scooter rider in
danger. Scooter program could also limit the amount of
companies to 3 total to help with the amount of
scooters on city blocks. Eliminate the helmet
requirement.
Please make the scooter program permanent in the
urban core area. Scooters are a vital means of
transportation for many downtown residents and help
ease the traffic in the area. Please do not force scooters
to be parked in certain areas, as that would defeat the
purpose for which many scooter users use them, i.e., for
the "last mile" of one's journey. We need stricter
enforcement of age limitations and to better clarify
whether scooters should be ridden on the road or the
sidewalk. As bike lanes become more prevalent, I
believe scooters should be required to be ridden in bike
lanes or on the road (not the sidewalk).
There is no room for scooters on sidewalks. Scooters are
a great mobility solution. But the city sidewalks are
already too narrow for pedestrian traffic and cannot
FR. 1 11135 handle scooters passing by, nor scooters parked on
1300 Brickell Approve - sidewalks. The scooters should park on the street, not
Sat Gavassa gay Dr Motorized on the sidewalk, on a designated dock located on a
Scooter converted car parking space. Scooters should ride with
Program the cars and park with the cars. Scooter renters should
be charged until they return the scooter to a designated
dock. Scooters left on sidewalks are a hazard to
pedestrians.
These scooters are GPS tracked and they should not be
allowed to ride on sidewalks, river walk, or any of the
335 S FR. 1 11135 parks. They should only be allowed to ride in bike lanes
Biscayne Blvd. Approve - on the street and then properly docked in a designated
