WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), titled "Temporary Events in General", temporary events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year per property for a maximum of two (2) weeks per permit; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521(b)(4) of the City Code, the number of events can be waived upon affirmative vote of the City Commission; and WHEREAS, the property at 3701 Northwest 7 Street, Miami, Florida wishes to have temporary events from November 20, 2021 through December 31, 2021 for the sale of Christmas trees and legal fireworks; and WHEREAS, the properties at 2500 Northwest 7 Street, 1894 Southwest 8 Street, and 3250 South Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida wish to have temporary events from December 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 for the sale of Christmas trees and legal fireworks; and WHEREAS, the temporary events at the all of the properties will require permits to be issued by the City of Miami ("City") to ensure life -safety and quality of life issues and appropriate conditions may be imposed on each permit; and WHEREAS, the temporary events at the all of the properties will be beneficial to the City's residents; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-33(f) of the City Code, the City Commission, by a majority vote, hereby deems this Resolution to be of an emergency nature; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b)(4) of the City Code, titled "Temporary Events in General", the two (2) temporary event per year per property limitation is hereby waived to allow temporary events at 3701 Northwest 7 Street, Miami, Florida from November 20, 2021 through December 31, 2021 and at 2500 Northwest 7 Street, 1894 Southwest 8 Street, and 3250 South Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida from December 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. Section 3. This Resolution does not waive any other requirements of the City Code, including but not limited to, applicable fees, inspections, and permits. Section 4.
