Alicia Cervera Lamadrid
Managing Partner, Cervera Real Estate
Miami -raised and Havana born, Alicia Cervera Lamadrid comes from a family whose name is synonymous with
luxurious land holdings; she grew up surrounded by real estate, with both parents in the business (Alicia Cervera
Sr. founded Cervera Real Estate, Miami's first real estate firm specializing in developer sales). Cervera Lamadrid
joined her mother's firm in the early 1g8os and rose the ranks eventually making her mark with luxury condos in
the up-and-coming Brickell Avenue. She took on different roles and learned the business from the ground up.
While family ties may have initially drawn her into the high stakes world of multi -million -dollar properties, it is her
sharp business acumen and personable, people -first attitude that keep her among the major players in the
industry.
After years of successfully representing Miami's top developers, the Related Group invited Cervera Lamadrid and
Cervera Real Estate to join forces in z000. The result was Related Cervera Realty Services (RCRS). In just ten years,
under the leadership of Cervera Lamadrid, the full -service real estate brokerage sold over 3.4,600 units,
representing over s6.8 billion. When the marketplace began to shift in 2oo8, Cervera Lamadrid led sales teams to
close over s72o million worth of units RCRS had represented in developer sales.
In 2011, Cervera Lamadrid was named Managing Partner of Cervera Real Estate and together with the company's
leadership spearheaded an effort to expand the company base. Passionate about real estate, Cervera Lamadrid
continues to lead by example, servicing developer client needs while also assisting associates with individual and
bulk transactions. Today, Cervera Lamadrid oversees over s4.5 billion of real estate sales in both pre -construction
and general real estate.
Active in the community, Cervera Lamadrid is the youngest founding member of the Master Broker's Forum
established in 2992, and still serves as Honorary Chair. Cervera Lamadrid is active with the Downtown community
through her Board positions at the DDA (Downtown Development Authority) Other Boards include the Miami

Mr. Chairman, Madame Executive Director and DDA Board of Directors,
It's my privilege to submit this letter requesting consideration for selection to the DDA Board of
Directors.
For the past seven years, I've been a proud homeowner within DDA boundaries and over that
time, become an increasingly active supporter of and contributor to DDA's vision and action.
My passion for DDA involvement is driven by a simple belief: that only through direct local
engagement and committed action can we collectively deliver on the incredible promise of our
downtown community.
As a third -generation Miamian and student of Miami's history of progress, I share DDA's vision
for increased growth and shared sense of community. The DDA is uniquely poised to make
Miami's valued traditions fresh and new, including thoughtful ideation and actions allowing
businesses and residents alike to experience Downtown's past while stepping into its exciting
future.
The DDA's momentum is undeniable; indeed, the sun has never shined more brightly on The
Magic City as a place for economic, community and quality of live advancement.
I'm applying to serve because of DDA's inspired energy and action, some of which I've been
honored to have the opportunity to directly contribute through active DDA involvement,
including:
• Arts Culture and Entertainment (ACE) Committee, 2016-2019
• Ideation & Marketing of DDA Movie nights Task Group, 2018
• Competitive Grants Selection Committee, 2019-2020
• Video Productions Services Evaluation Committee, 2020-2021
• ALT-B Concept Development, 2021
• Miami 125th Celebration, 2021
O 3-D Mapping of Downtown Courthouse Concept
o Storyboarding and identification of historic marketers and teachable moments
More than anything else, I hope this demonstrates my commitment to not just being present,
but my passion for connecting ideas with results.
If chosen to serve, I hope to focus specific attention on downtown arts and culture activations
that fuel our economy and businesses, serves our residents, and enhances our shared sense of
history and downtown "hometown" pride. I further hope to serve as a connector and
ambassador of both the DOA and the exciting evolution of our downtown brand by developing
ideas that give new life to our historic venues, which represent a treasure trove of teachable
moments.
Over the course of the pandemic, our sociology has shifted and now more than ever, local
community and experiences are what our businesses and residents crave. Music, film, and
other cultural sectors are drawn to our historic downtown for its rich visuals and creative talent
base. I believe that with downtown Miami as the backdrop, there is no better foreground for
exciting progress.
In sum, I'm both educated and experienced in the rich cultural history of Miami while being
fully cognizant of and committed to its future growth as the ultimate prescription for progress.
In doing so, I believe can connect both history and hope.
I care deeply about our city and community and again, am honored to be considered for the
DDA Board of Directors. I would be more honored still to serve.
Thank you.
Best regards,

Re: Miami DDA Board of Directors Letter of Interest
Dear Honorable Committee Members:
I am writing to express my interest to serve on the Miami
Downtown Development Authority's Board of Directors. I have
been closely following the work of the Miami DDA since 2002,
when I first joined my law firm and my mentor, Jeff Bercow, served
on the Board with distinction. I would bring a unique combination
of experience, skills, personality and passion to the Board, and I am
committed to serving with the highest caliber of acumen,
professionalism and integrity. I enclose my resume for your
consideration.
A native Miamian, I was born in the City's Health District and
enjoyed a quintessential childhood attending public school in Little
Havana. After graduating magna cum laude with degrees in
Political Science and Geography from Florida International
University's Honors College, I earned a Juris Doctor cum laudefrom
the University of Miami School of Law. For almost two decades, I
have worked Downtown at Miami's pre-eminent land use, zoning
and environmental boutique law firm, where I rose from a summer
law clerk to name partner. Throughout these years, I have worked
diligently building my law practice, representing the interests of
landowners, institutions, developers and businesses seeking real
estate licensing and regulatory approvals from government boards
and agencies at the local, state and federal levels, while immersing
myself in service to my community.
As a resident and small business owner, I would be a powerful
advocate for the Miami DDA elevating resiliency and sustainability
to assure a robust and thriving economy for all Miamians. I am not overwhelmed by complex
problems; I am invigorated and approach challenges with discipline and focus. No goal is too
aspirational; I craft creative and courageous strategies, Iead with infectious enthusiasm, and
implement holistic win -win solutions piece -meal with grit and tenaciousness to achieve worthy
objectives.
With a steadfast commitment to professional and civic engagement, I am an ideal candidate for
appointment to the Miami DDA Board of Directors. As a member of the Board, I would have no
learning curve. I am ready to start work the first day, and will Iead by example. Having the
opportunity to contribute to the evolution of Miami as a cosmopolitan paradise is a life"s work.
I am ready for the challenge.
I humbly ask for your nomination and appointment, and look forward to the opportunity to
collaborate with you.
Very truly yours,
