Item RE.7 on the May 13, 2021 City Commission Agenda directs the City
Manager to take any and all actions and measures necessary to facilitate a workshop with
each City Commissioner, and the Office of Capital Improvements, Department of
Resilience and Public Works, and City of Miami consultants for the update to the
Stormwater Master Plan regarding individual City district priorities prior to the
finalization of the Stormwater Master Plan, and bring the results of the workshops and
meetings to the City Commission at a future City Commission meeting, prior to the
finalization of the Stormwater Master Plan and held no more than sixty (60) days from
the passage of this Resolution. The item inadvertently published with an error in the title
and is corrected in the attached version.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE
A WORKSHOP WITH EACH CITY COMMISSIONER, AND THE OFFICE OF
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, DEPARTMENT OF RESILIENCE AND PUBLIC
WORKS, AND CITY CONSULTANTS FOR THE UPDATE TO THE
STORMWATER MASTER PLAN REGARDING INDIVIDUAL CITY DISTRICT
PRIORITIES PRIOR TO THE FINALIZATION OF THE STORMWATER
MASTER PLAN; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO BRING THE
RESULTS OF THE WORKSHOPS AND MEETINGS TO THE CITY
COMMISSION AT A FUTURE CITY COMMISSION MEETING, PRIOR TO THE
FINALIZATION OF THE STORMWATER MASTER PLAN AND HELD NO MORE
THAN SIXTY (60) DAYS FROM THE PASSAGE OF THIS RESOLUTION.

WHEREAS, City of Miami ("City") has drafted a 2021 update to the Stormwater Master
Plan, a comprehensive assessment of the City's roads, drainage infrastructure, and water
management features to identify improvements needed to address capacity and flooding issues;
and
WHEREAS, the City has, and will, present a series of virtual community meetings in
April and May of 2021 to update residents on the City's 2021 Comprehensive Citywide
Stormwater Master Plan Report for resident input and information; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes the City Commissioners and subject n1 'tter
experts should be included in the formalization of individualized district priorities prior tG,-;tfib
completion of the Stormwater Master Plan; and =+�71 -c

WHEREAS, the passage of this Resolution is in the best interests of the City, its!
residents, and businesses; = :>. 2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY —a o
MIAMI, FLORIDA: -a
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to take any and all
actions and measures necessary to facilitate a workshop with each City Commissioner, and the
Office of Capital Improvements, Department of Resilience and Public Works, and City
consultants for the update to the Stormwater Master Plan regarding individual City district'
priorities prior to the finalization of the Stormwater Master Plan.

Section 3. The City Manager shall bring the results of the workshops and meetings to
the City Commission at a future City Commission meeting, prior to the finalization of the
Stormwater Master Plan and held no more than sixty (60) days from the passage of this
Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
