WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") has drafted a 2021 update to the Stormwater Master Plan , a comprehensive assessment of the City's roads, drainage infrastructure, and water management features to identify improvements needed to address capacity and flooding issues ("Plan"); and WHEREAS, the City has, and will, present a series of virtual community meetings in April and May 2021 to update residents on the Plan for resident input and information; and WHEREAS, the City Commission believes the City Commissioners and subject matter experts should be included in the formalization of individualized district priorities prior to the completion of the Plan; and WHEREAS, the passage of this Resolution is in the best interests of the City, its residents, and businesses; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager along with representatives of the Office of Capital Improvements, Department of Resilience and Public Works, and any consultants to facilitate workshops with each City Commissioner regarding the Plan and individual district priorities prior to the finalization of the Plan. Section 3. The City Manager is directed to bring the results of the workshops and meetings to the City Commission at a future City Commission meeting, prior to the finalization of the Plan and held no more than sixty (60) days from the passage of this Resolution. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS:
