A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE
ADDITION OF THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF RUBIN, TURNBULL &
ASSOCIATES, INC., F/K/A THE RUBIN GROUP, AS PART OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI'S LOBBYING FIRMS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") has a need for experienced and qualified
firms to provide state lobbying services; and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 2021, the Miami City Commission adopted Resolution
No. R-21-0057 ("Resolution"), which authorized the City Manager to engage three (3) firms
for lobbying services; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution also authorized the City Manager to engage up to two
(2) additional lobbying firms from the pool of qualified firms, on an as needed basis,
subject to the City Manager first consulting with the three (3) assigned firms and subject to
the approval of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager wishes to add Rubin, Turnbull & Associates, Inc.,
f/k/a The Rubin Group ("Rubin"), as part of the City's lobbying firms; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-33(f) of the City Code, the City Commission,
by a majority vote, hereby deems this Resolution to be of an emergency nature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The addition of the professional services of Rubin as part of the City's
lobbying firms is approved.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
