As part of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami's (CCADM) commitment to providing services
that enhance enhance the life and dignity of those in need, the agency has been an advocate for social service
issues that impact the most vulnerable populations in South Florida for over 87 years. Since 1977,
CCADM has has operated congregate meal sites with the purpose of improving the quality of life for the elderly,

Program/Project Title: Services for the Elderly- Myers Senior Center

older adults can socialize with peers, receive nutritious meals, and have access to information to assist them to continue
to live independently in their homes, Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily, Lis well as recreational activities Those meeting eligibility
requirements will also have the opportunity to receive a weekly supply of dinners to take home.

Please describe how this program/project and funding will alleviate poverty within the City of
Miami?
The program will provide at least 2/3 of the daily I,JSDA recommended dietary intake for older adults over the age of 60 years, and the complete
daily requirements for those seniors most at risk of malnutrition, By greatly reducing or eliminating the need for purchasing
food, the program enables kiw-income seniors to spend their limited incontc on other expenses such as rent, medication etc.
IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE:
Describe overall expected outcomes and performance measures for this project/program:
The expected outcomes of the program are for the seniors that we serve to continue living in their homes,
and to either maintain or improve their nutrition status. The number of seniors and meals served will be
reported monthly. 125 days of meals will be provided and 98 older adults will be served during the period„

Funds will be used to cover the costs of; 30 congregate breakfasts daily, 45 congregate hot lunches daily,
client recreation, staff, and other operating costs, liome-delivered meals will be provided during pandemic -
related meal site closure.
