requesting volunteers to serve on the Art in Public Places Board.
The Art in Public Places Board (AIPPB) is composed of nine (9) voting members and two (2) alternate

Remaining Reserved Miami -Dade County Schools - AIPP Board Vacancy
On March 5, 2020 Miami Dade County Public School "MDCP" requested that Planning staff forward the
previous recommendation and applications filed on behalf of Superintendent of Schools Alberto
Carvalho in 2019 to the City Clerk. Subsequently, the City Clerk's Office informed Planning staff that
an updated application was required.
Staff made several unsuccessful attempts to contact the School Board in -light of the incoming school
closure due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Unfortunately, MDCPS reserved seat will remain vacant
unless the Mayor and City Commission consider the Superintendent of Schools previous 2019
recommendations.
Should the Mayor and City Commission move to consider, staff recommends Mabel Morales for the
Reserved Miami -Dade County Schools seat on the AIPP Board.
