1, 2020 TO JULY 31, 2020 IN THE AMOUNT OF $83,376.86 FOR ELIGIBLE
HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, AS SPECIFIED IN
EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS INCLUDING AMENDMENTS,
RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR
THE COMPLETION OF SAID ACTIVITIES, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE,
AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS.
Background of Item:
The Department of Housing and Community Development ("Department") receives
various types of repayments from loans provided to developers and homeowners in the
past, such funds referred to as program income, are required to be used for eligible
program activities.
From February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020, the Department of Housing and Community
Development has collected an amount of 83,376.86 CDBG program income; and
Pursuant to CDBG regulations 24 CFR Part 570.504, program income must be used for
eligible CDBG activities.
The City Administration recommends the allocation of the program income from CDBG
funds generated February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020 in the amount of $83,376.86 for
eligible housing and economic development activities, as specified in Exhibit "A"
attached and incorporated.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ALLOCATING PROGRAM INCOME FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS GENERATED FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2020 TO JULY 31, 2020 IN THE
AMOUNT OF $83,376.86 FOR ELIGIBLE HOUSING AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, AS MORE PARTICULARLY SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT
"A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS,
ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL
FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH
FUNDS, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development ("Department")

are required to be used for eligible program activities ("Program Income"); and
WHEREAS, from February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020, the Department has collected an
amount of $83,376.86 in Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program Income; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to CDBG regulation 24 CFR Part 570.504, Program Income must
be used for eligible CDBG activities; and
WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the allocation of the Program Income
from CDBG funds generated February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020 in the amount of $83,376.86 for
eligible housing and economic development activities, as more particularly specified in Exhibit
"A," attached and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of Program Income from CDBG funds generated from
February 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020 in the amount of $83,376.86 for eligible housing and
economic development activities as specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, is
authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms

acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state, and local laws that regulate the use
of such funds, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.2
