Approved: Miriam Santana, Agenda Coordinator CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 9:00 AM at City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, 33133 for the purpose of granting the following: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ("COUNTY"), DATED MAY 15, 2007 ("LEASE"), IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TERMINATING A PORTION OF THE LEASE TO CARVE OUT THE CITY - OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1785 NORTHWEST 35TH STREET ("PROPERTY") AND PROVIDING FORMAL NOTICE OF PARTIAL LEASE TERMINATION TO THE COUNTY; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED ("DEED"), IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO CONVEY THE PROPERTY TO SAINT JAMES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF MIAMI, INC., OR AN AFFILIATE ENTITY MEETING THE CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL AT TIME OF CONVEYANCE ("ST. JAMES"), PURSUANT TO SECTION 29-B(A) OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDEVELOPING THE PROPERTY INTO WORKFORCE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING; CONTAINING A REVERTER PROVISION WITH TERMS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN SAID DEED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND AMENDMENTS, IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, AS DEEMED NECESSARY TO AMEND THE LEASE AND/OR CONSUMMATE THE CONVEYANCE. The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City Commission in which the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
