While the item was adopted without modification, it should have been adopted with modifications because the legislation contained a blank. The Legislation has been corrected to include the date that the Trust approved its supplemental budget in the blank. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created and established the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust ("Trust") pursuant to Ordinance No. 12859 adopted October 12, 2006; and WHEREAS, the Trust is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the City's revitalization and redevelopment activities in the Liberty City area; and WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), provides that the Trust shall submit a budget to the City Commission for approval in a form acceptable to the City Manager; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-0362 adopted September 12, 2019, the City Commission approved the Trust's original annual budget for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020 ("Fiscal Year") in the amount of Seven Hundred Eighty -Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($785,525.00), attached and incorporated as Exhibit "A" ("Original Annual Budget"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 20-0111 adopted by the City Commission on April 9, 2020, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "B", the Trust received unanticipated revenues from the District 5 share of the City's Anti -Poverty Initiative funds in the total amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) to fund the Trust's Summer Youth Program ("API Grant") necessitating an amendment of the Trust's Original Annual Budget; and WHEREAS, on July 13, 2020, the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved amending and supplementing the Trust's Original Annual Budget to include the Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) API Grant for a total Fiscal Year budget of Nine Hundred Eighty -Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "C" ("Supplemental Budget"); and WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36(a) of the City Code provides for the Trust to return to the City Commission for approval of supplements to the Original Annual Budget and the governing body of the Trust has requested the City Commission's approval of the Trust's Supplemental Budget; City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File ID: 7586 (Revision: A) Printed On: 8/12/2020 File ID: 7586 Enactment Number: R-20-0223 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Supplemental Budget of the Trust, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "C", in the amount of Nine Hundred Eighty -Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($985,525.00) for the Fiscal Year is approved and adopted. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.'
