HomeMy WebLinkAboutNotice to the PublicCITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 25, 2020, to consider the award of a Program Partnership Agreement, to The Overtown Optimist Club, Inc. of Florida, Inc., a Florida not -for -profit corporation for the 2020-2040 contract period, for the provision of seasonal recreation program activities, physical fitness, youth afterschool literacy and tutoring programs, and social skills for at risk youth at the City of Miami's Theodore Gibson Park, and to consider the City Manager's recommendation and finding that competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these issues. This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-86(a)(3)(c) (services related to educational, cultural, and/or recreational services and activities provided by non-profit organizations within city parks) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended. The recommendation and finding to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed resolution and in this Code Section, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein and are available as public records from the City of Miami. The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of June 25, 2020, 9:00 a.m. at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City Commission in which the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
