We work with pubic and private sectors to insure that the rights of Miami -pads County and City of Miami residents are advocated for by the Miami -Dade Branch of the NAACP. The NAACP has galvanized its community around subjects such as social justice, economic inclusion and diversity. Is your program/project providing direct services to residents of the City of Miami? Specifically the events in the City of Miami are the Housing workshops, Unity in the Community Town Hall Meetings, Youth development activities like legislative training and trip to Tallahassee. Additionally, we will provide job fairs and Hurricane prepardness workshops. Program Start Date: 9/21/19 Program End Gate: 10/1/20 Please describe how this program/project and funding will alleviate poverty within the City of Miami? Funds raised will enable the volunteers of the Miami -Dade Branch of the NAACP to assist City of Miami with workshop and seminars on affordable housing. The Fret ow Fund will assist improvised co1Tanunities with providing information on jobs and jobs training as well as safe, clean and sanitary housing upperbmilies. IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE: Describe overall expected outcomes and performance measures for this project/program: Addressing the social determinants in the community served through various Town Hall Meetings, Workshops and seminars. These community engagement activities will be tracked with sign -in sheets and are geared to stronger safer and more resilient communities.
