Organization History and Background Information:
Notre Dame Child Development Center is one of the child development centers of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami. Inc,
It has been providing childcare services of the highest quality to low-income families in the Litle Haiti area since 1975,_
We provide age and developmentally appropriate services to children birth to age 5, pregnant woman and their families.
Currently, 208 children are enrolled at the center through our infant and toddler and preschool program.

In rants and toddlers attending Failv I lead programs show significantly hence social -emotional languagc_cognitive and emotional
development through sale and developmentally enriching care giving. We conduct roam dillercr.l screcnlnes and assessments that allow us
to identify individual deficiencies in different developmental areas..Fhis enables us to wort: on them to attain improvement with each child.
Approaches to Learning, Cognitive Development, Physical Development, Language, and Social and Emotional D.evelopment one of the
main uses of this report is to plan educational opportunities and to promote learning. This report includes information on what an
individual has learned and provides suggestions about what she/he is ready to learn now, soon or later. Teachers use this information
to plan learning opportunities and to measure the outcomes of the program. The Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) is also utilized.
The questionnaire is completed by the teachers and the parents to measure Communication, Gross Motor, Eine Motof, Problem
Solving and Personal -Social abilities. At the end of the school year, teachers get the Progress Report which is an indicator of the change
that has occurred in learning or achievement across two or more points in time. The attendance Is documented on a daily basis and is
aligned with the daily assessments and observation' of each infant and toddler in the;roup.
