Hannon City Clerk Subject: Miami 21 Report Ad Hoc Task Force References: Agenda for January 23, 2020 Enclosures: Draft Resolution The Miami 21 Report Ad Hoc Task Force will work in conjunction with the City's Administration to give its perspective and recommendations for possible recommended changes and measures to be taken relative to Miami 21 Code. The Task Force will be automatically disband once its perspectives and recommendations regarding the Report and any recommendations of possible changes or measures to be made to the Miami 21 Code have been delivered through the Task Force's Chairperson to the Mayor, City Commission, and City Manager. The Task Force shall consist of twelve (12) voting members. Six (6) members who are electors of the City and who have a desire to serve as active members on the Task Force and Six (6) members, consisting of three (3) of which will have at least five (5) years of experience in real estate development, preferably in both residential and commercial developments, and three (3) of which will have at least five (5) years of experience in the practice of land use law and/or real estate development law. All members will serve without compensation. In addition, all members should have demonstrated an interest in, or experience relating to, the Miami 21 Code or other governmental codes such as planning, zoning, building, and/or housing codes. All members shall be subject to the provisions set forth in Section 2-884 of the City Code. No alternate members shall be appointed. Twelve (12) appointments are required at this time: • Mayor Francis Suarez has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. • Commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. • Commissioner Ken Russell has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. • Commissioner Joe Carollo has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. • Commissioner Manolo Reyes has two (2) nominations for seats currently: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. • Commissioner Keon Hardemon has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Vacant. 2. Vacant. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the draft resolution establishing the Task Force.
