HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-20-0021City of Miami Resolution R-20-0021 Legislation City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 6941 Final Action Date: 1/23/2020 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THIRTEEN (13) RIGHT-OF-WAY DEEDS OF DEDICATION, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE RECORDATION OF SAID DEEDS IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO KEEP COPIES OF SAID DEEDS. WHEREAS, the City of Miami's ("City") Department of Resilience and Public Works ("Department") recommends the acceptance of thirteen (13) Right -of -Way Deeds of Dedication ("Deeds") for the properties described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated; and WHEREAS, the Department finds it is in the best interest of the City to accept the Deeds pursuant to Section 54-58 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"); and WHEREAS, the thirteen (13) Deeds convey the properties described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, to the City for highway purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' and directed to accept thirteen (13) Deeds for the properties described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for highway purposes. Section 3. The City Commission approves and authorizes' the recordation of said Deeds in the Public Records of Miami -Dade County, Florida. Section 4. The City Clerk is directed to keep copies of the thirteen (13) Deeds that have been provided. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions.
