A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WAIVING THE NOISE
PROHIBITIONS FOR SUPER BOWL 2020 RELATED EVENTS PURSUANT TO
SECTIONS 36-4(A) AND (B) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED ("CITY CODE"), TITLED "OPERATION OF RADIOS,
PHONOGRAPHS OR OTHER SOUND -MAKING DEVICES; BANDS,
ORCHESTRAS AND MUSICIANS —GENERALLY; EXEMPTION", AND
EXTENDING THE HOURS OF ALCOHOL SALES UNTIL 5:00 A.M. PURSUANT
TO SECTION 4-3(B) OF THE CITY CODE, TITLED "HOURS DURING WHICH
SALES ALLOWED; PERMITS AND PUBLIC HEARING REQUIRED", FOR THE
WYNWOOD BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; 71 NORTHWEST 14TH
STREET; AND 1700 NORTHEAST 2ND AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA DURING
SUPER BOWL 2020 OCCURRING FROM JANUARY 29, 2020 THROUGH
FEBRUARY 2, 2020 ("EVENT"); FURTHER WAIVING THE NOISE
PROHIBITIONS FOR SUPER BOWL 2020 RELATED EVENTS PURSUANT TO
SECTIONS 36-4(A) AND (B) OF THE CITY CODE AND EXTENDING THE
HOURS OF ALCOHOL SALES UNTIL 7:00 A.M. PURSUANT TO SECTION 4-
3(B) OF THE CITY CODE FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 55
NORTHEAST 24TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA FOR THE EVENT.

WHEREAS, Section 36-4(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), prohibits excessive noise or music audible at a distance of one hundred feet (100') from
a building or structure or vehicles from where it is produced; and
WHEREAS, Section 36-4(b) of the City Code provides that the City Commission may
waive the provisions of Section 36-4(a) for special occasions by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 4-3(b) of the City Code provides that the City Commission may
extend the hours of sale for any alcohol service establishment for consumption on or off the
premises for special occasions by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football
League and is widely celebrated; and
WHEREAS, Super Bowl 2020 will be played in Miami -Dade County with special events
scheduled to take place throughout the City of Miami ("City"); and
WHEREAS, such Super Bowl 2020-related special events are hereby determined to be
special occasions ("Events"); and
WHEREAS, several of these Events will take place within the Wynwood Business
Improvement District ("BID") area as well as the properties located at 71 Northwest 14th Street,

1700 Northeast 2nd Avenue, and 55 Northeast 24th Street, Miami, Florida from January 29, 2020
through February 2, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Events will have large gatherings of persons with entertainment; and
WHEREAS, the Events attract people from all over the world which benefit the residents
and businesses of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The noise prohibition contained in Section 36-4(a) of the City Code is waived
pursuant to Section 36-4(b) of the City Code, titled "Operation of radios, phonographs or other
sound -making devices; bands, orchestras and musicians —Generally; exemption," for the Events
in the BID area and the properties located at 71 Northwest 14th Street, 1700 Northeast 2nd
Avenue, and 55 Northeast 24th Street, Miami, Florida to be held from January 29, 2020 through
February 2, 2020.
Section 3. Alcohol sales are extended until 5:00 A.M. pursuant to Section 4-3(b) of the
City Code, titled "Hours during which Sales allowed; Permits and public hearing required," for
the Events in the Wynwood BID and the properties at 71 Northwest 14th Street and 1700
Northeast 2nd Avenue to be held from January 29, 2020 through February 2, 2020.
Section 4. Alcohol sales are extended until 7:00 A.M. pursuant to Section 4-3(b) of the
City Code, titled "Hours during which Sales allowed; Permits and public hearing required," for
the Events at 55 Northeast 24t" Street, Miami, Florida to be held from January 29, 2020 through
February 2, 2020.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
