Subject: Miami Complete Count Committee

The Miami Complete Count Committee was created (1) to compose a comprehensive assessment
of individuals likely to be uncounted within the City; (2) to identify and recommend resources which
can be utilized to assist in outreach of the undercounted populations; (3) to identify and recommend
potential strategies to collaborate with Miami -Dade County and the State of Florida to ensure that the
City is not undercounted; (4) to compile information and develop a comprehensive 2020 census
action plan ("Plan"), which shall include community -based and other strategies to ensure an accurate
count of the City's population; (5) to submit the Plan to the City Commission within ninety (90) days
of the Committee's initial meeting. Should the Committee need additional time to finalize the Plan,
the Committee may request an extension from the City Commission upon advising the City
Commission of the current status of the Plan.
All members shall be permanent residents of the City and shall have good reputations for integrity
and community service. All members should have an interest in, or experience relating to,
community organizations, faith -based organizations, education institutions, nonprofit organizations,
or the business community with an emphasis on outreach to the City's undercounted census
population.
One (1) appointment is required at this time:

For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said committee. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the
November 21, 2019, Commission Agenda.
