AT MIAMI CITY HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA FOR THE PURPOSES OF (1) A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, TO APPROVE OR DENY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 29-B OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, A LEASE AND ASSOCIATED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SOCCER STADIUM, PUBLIC PARK, TECHNOLOGY HUB, ART AND ENTERTAINMENT SPACES, FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENUES, AND A HOTEL CONFERENCE CENTER WITH ANCILLARY COMMERCIAL USES AT 1400 NORTHWEST 37TH AVENUE, AND (2) A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE MAYOR TO CEASE ANY AND ALL NEGOTIATIONS WITH MIAMI FREEDOM PARK, LLC REGARDING THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SOCCER STADIUM, PUBLIC PARK, TECHNOLOGY HUB, ART AND ENTERTAINMENT SPACES, FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENUES, AND A HOTEL CONFERENCE CENTER WITH ANCILLARY COMMERCIAL USES AT 1400 NORTHWEST 37TH AVENUE, AND (3) A DISCUSSION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION PROVIDING AN UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI FREEDOM PARK, LLC FOR THE LEASE AND DEVELOPMENT OF A SOCCER STADIUM, PUBLIC PARK, TECHNOLOGY HUB, ART AND ENTERTAINMENT SPACES, FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENUES, AND A HOTEL CONFERENCE CENTER WITH ANCILLARY COMMERCIAL USES AT 1400 NORTHWEST 37TH AVENUE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A Special City Commission Meeting is hereby scheduled for November 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida for the purposes of (1) a Resolution of the Miami City Commission, to approve or deny, pursuant to Section 29-B of the Charter of the City of Miami, a lease and associated development agreements regarding the construction of a soccer stadium, public park, technology hub, art and entertainment spaces, food and beverage venues, and a hotel conference center with ancillary commercial uses at 1400 Northwest 37th Avenue, and (2) a Resolution of the Miami City Commission directing the City Manager and the Mayor to cease any and all negotiations with Miami Freedom Park, LLC regarding the proposed development and construction of a soccer stadium, public park, technology hub, art and entertainment spaces, food and beverage venues, and a hotel conference center with ancillary commercial uses at 1400 Northwest 37th Avenue, and (3) a Discussion of the Miami City Commission providing an update on the status of negotiations between the City of Miami and Miami Freedom Park, LLC for the lease and development of a soccer stadium, public park, technology hub, art and entertainment spaces, food and beverage venues, and a hotel conference center with ancillary commercial uses at 1400 Northwest 37th Avenue. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.' If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
