City's Summer Youth Employment
Program
Please make arrangements to publish a Notice of Public Hearing on the discussion of an amendment to an
agreement with the Overtown Youth Center, Inc. regarding the expansion of the City of Miami's Summer
Jobs Connect 2019 Program. The legislation and public hearing have been scheduled for September 26,
2019. Waiver of procurement process is being considered pursu nt to Section 18-85(a) of the Code of the
city of Miami as amended.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 9:00
A.M., to consider the award of a contract to the not for profit entity listed below funded through a
grant from Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund Inc./Citi Foundation. Overtown Youth Center,
Inc., a Florida Not for Profit Corporation, is being provided additional funding for the
implementation of the Miami Summer Jobs Connect Program, and to consider the City Manager's
recommendations and finding that competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or
advantageous regarding these issues:

Connect

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-85 (A) of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida as amended (the "Code"). The recommendations and findings to be considered in this
matter are set forth in the proposed resolution and in Code Section 18-85 (A), which are deemed
to be incorporated by reference herein and are available as with the regularly scheduled City
Commission meeting of September 26, 2019 at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami,
Florida.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at the
meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City Commission in which
the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the
City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
