AFFORDABLE HOUSING —REQUEST funding for security at Housing Facilities, SUPPORT legislation to require A/C units in Florida. SUPPORT legislation to keep Sadoski fund intact. REQUEST funding for Housing Pilot Programs to assist with home ownership. 2. CDBG - INCREASE the percentage of CDBG spending for Public Service Activities from 15% to 25%. 3. PREEMPTION — OPPOSE Legislation that would preempt local governments. Protect Home -Rule. OPPOSE Legislation that would preempt local government's purview over energy and utilities projects within City limits. (Ex. 5G Pole location & Design) 4. TRANSPORTATION — REQUEST funding for additional Trolleys and Routes. 5. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT — SUPPORT a funding increase for the City's emergency management needs. 6. MIAMI FOREVER BOND — REQUEST matching funds for qualifying Miami Forever Bond projects. 7. POLICE & FIRE- SUPPORT legislation to lift restrictions on drone usage for evidence collection. SUPPORT legislation restricting the purchase and possession of firearms by individuals who have been "adjudicated mentally defective" or have been "committed to a mental institution" F.S.S. 790.065. REQUEST Changes to Section 30.2905 Florida Statutes to include Municipalities. REQUEST funding for equipment and vehicle upgrades. REQUEST funding for South Florida Task Force 2. 8. HUMAN SERVICES — SUPPORT legislation & funding for Homeless/Mental Illness Prevention Programs. SUPPORT legislation opting out of 1% Food and Beverage Tax contribution to the Homeless Trust or to seek reimbursement for those funds collected by the Homeless Trust. SUPPORT legislation to require EKG screenings be mandated for all students during annual pediatric wellness and physical examinations. 9. PARKS & RECREATION — SUPPORT changes to F.S.S. 402.302 to include municipal after school programs. 10. WATER PROJECTS— SUPPORT funding for potential water projects city-wide. 11. FUNDING REQUESTS — SUPPORT funding for Miami Baywalk. SUPPORT funding for senior meals in the City of Miami. (Ex. LHANC, Allapattah Community Action, Southwest Social Services, Catholic Charities, and Central Mater Elderly Services) SUPPORT funding for Public Works, Capital Improvement, and Parks projects to increase quality of life and safety. SUPPORT funding for Cuban/Hispanic District. (Ex. Cuban Museum) 12. SCHOOL SAFETY — SUPPORT Miami Dade County Public Schools in their efforts to secure additional funds for school safety initiatives. 13. RESILIENCY —SUPPORT legislation and funding for projects that will keep Miami resilient. 14. VETERAN AFFAIRS — SUPPORT legislation to reduce the burden on Veterans and Active Military Personnel. 15. BUILDING DEPT FUND — SUPPORT legislation to widen the scope of how the City's Building Restricted Funds can be utilized as long as it helps support the Building Department's functions. 16.
