Dear Alisa:

Thank you for meeting with us again on September 21, 2018 to continue our
ongoing dialogue about the Magic City Innovation District (MCID) and the
community. As previously stated, we desire to work with the Palm Grove
Neighborhood to positively impact our neighbors. To that end, we are committing to
the following:
• Traffic Calming Study: MCID will conduct a traffic calming study to determine
recommended alternatives to slow and deter cut through traffic and its
impact on the Palm Grove Neighborhood. We will partner with you to seek
funding from the City and other governmental organizations to implement
the recommendations for the community.
• Little Haiti Trolley Expansion Study: MCID will conduct a study to develop a
recommended route for a local circulator or trolley to operate between the
Palm Grove Neighborhood and MCID. Additionally, new trolley stops have
been proposed on NE 3rd Avenue between 60th and 61st street, and on NE 4th
Avenue north of 62nd Street. New trolley stops identified immediately
adjacent to MCID property will include bus shelters subject to City of Miami
and Miami -Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works
approval.
• Neighborhood Entrance Signs: MCID will fund the production and
installation of two (2) neighborhood entrance signs at a cost of up to
$10,000.
• Eaton Park Beautification and Parking: MCID will fund a beautification
project for Eaton Park to include fencing and landscaping at a cost of up to
$100,000. MCID will also support and work with the Palm Grove
Neighborhood to approach the City and Miami Parking Authority to request

• Noise Monitoring: Magic City Innovation District will abide by the City Code,
which prohibits outdoor entertainment past 11:00 pm without special
approvals such as a Special Event Permit, We understand that noise can
impact your neighborhood and will designate someone who will be available
to respond to and address noise complaints. It is our intention to make every
possible effort to address any concerns that are raised to prevent future
problems and mitigate noise impacts on the surrounding community.
I reiterate that we have been and will continue to be committed to the community
at -large and hope to maintain a positive working relationship with you and your
neighbors. I trust the aforementioned commitments address most, if not all, of your
concerns and we look forward to receiving the support of the Palm Grove
Neighborhood Association prior to the September 27, 2018 City Commission
meeting. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
