COUNTY PLAN - MALL RENDERING
This is a mall, not a
theatre. This plan
trades a historic
landmark with a
worthy venue, for a
poorly designed mall
with walls made of
rebar cages filled
with rubble.

PLAN B -HISTORIC ELEVATION°5123119
A thoughtful
restoration with
historical
embellishments,
bringing the
entire theatre
to its greatest
architectural
potential.
City Clerk
A well thought out
space incorporating
the 200+ seat
black box theatre
along with an
outstanding 700
seat regional
theatre. This 900
seat venue only
requires 8500+ sf
of supporting
space.

The County Plan is Not Funded
• MOU between County and MPA specifies only a small theater and parking garage
will be funded. None of ancillary structures including the historical facade are funded.
• Full Funding requires formation of a development plan with an unnamed partner
• This Joint Venture is unlikely to take place due to:
➢ Lease from State of FL prohibits encumbrances for development
➢ Letter from Spring to the County states "no more funding available from the
County"
➢ No historic preservation funds available once the Theater is destroyed
➢ MPA has only committed enough funds to build the parking garage without
office envelope
• Lease between State and County requires "Reestablishment of Great Regional Theater"
